Microsoft Windows 11

Recently installed a HP Envy 6120e which can print double-sided. Can print double- sided ok if required from my iPad but on my laptop which runs Windows 11, there is no option to print both sides from Word for example, apart from an option to manually print double-sided, and in the Printer Properties, General it shows “ Double-sided No”. HP Smart has been used to set up the printer so I assume all the correct drivers are installed. The printer name on Windows 11 is “HPIB193F6 (HP Envy 6100e series)” with the driver set to “Microsoft PWG Raster Class Driver”. I’m guessing the driver is generic and doesn’t take into account the 6120e is a duplex printer perhaps?

Any help would be appreciated.

Problem solved. I went through the setup process again but chose a full install rather than the HP Smart option and once completed an HP driver had been installed rather than the Microsoft one and the printer properties showed “Double-sided: Yes” so duplex printing was available in the printer options of Word etc.
