Every time I try to install this printer I get an error "Driver not available".
I have searched online for solutions and tried them. None of them make any difference.
This problem has been present for several months now.
Please propose a working solution.
Thanks,
Peter

Hi @PeterFoulkes, Welcome to the HP Support Community. I understand you are trying to install the printer on your PC. I'd be happy to assist you.
Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue
Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.
If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
Clean reinstallation of Pre-installed HP drivers
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
- Select your HP Printer
- Select Uninstall
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
- In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
- Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
- Click on the “Drivers” tab
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
- Select Ok
- Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
- Close Devices and Printers, restart the computer.
Click here to download the HP Full-featured driver.
Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.
Try printing.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hello,
These are the steps that are already online and I have already said do not work. This is not helpful.
Perhaps we could look at these steps more closely...
Step 1. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor.
This makes no difference.
Step 2.
Part 1. In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
Could you please explain what this means? I am running Windows 10 Home (Build 18362) 64 Bit. If I go to the search box at the bottom left and type in "programs and features" nothing comes up with that title.
Please advise.
Peter

@PeterFoulkes, thank you for the response.
When you search for 'Program and features', select 'Add or remove your programs'.
If you have tried the clean reinstallation process and the issue persists, you may skip it.
Install the printer using Windows built-in driver
Refer to this document to know how.
Let me know how this goes.

When I go to Add or remove programs and then attempt to remove the HP Envy 6200 software I get the following error:
Call to DriverPackageUninstall returned error 5 for package
'C:\WINDOWS\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\hpwia_en6200.inf_amd64_9a72e82fb5404e\hpwia_en5200.inf'
A caller of DriverPackageInstall must be a member of the Administrators group to install a driver package.
Please advise.

It looks like the Win OS is not letting you uninstall the driver due to a corrupt file.
You may try any third-party uninstaller to help you uninstall the program.
If the issue persists, as mentioned in the previous post, kindly install the printer using Windows built-in driver.
Let me know how this goes.
