What is the default web login username and password on an Envy 7155.   I can't find it documented.  I googled and pages said to try blank fields for both or admin for user and blank for password.  Nothing works.  I reset the network defaults, twice.  No change.  How can I login to the web server to administer the printer?

I'm pretty sure I've found a bug here, which is not apparent from my original post.  I set a pw during configuration and it failed to work.  It was a long, complicated pw, but it followed the posted rules.   When I could not login, I did a google search that said to "reset the network," but that did not clear the pw.  I thought it had, as that is what google world said.  They were wrong.

I did a factory reset of the printer and that cleared my setting, which was not working.  I set a less complicated pw and that works fine.  My guess is my first set pw was too long, but it was only 17 chars long.  It will surprise me if that is the problem, but I'm not going to chase it anymore.

The second one I set is only 13 chars and that works fine.  The  pw rules posted during set up say nothing about length, but I'm thinking there is a undocumented limitation.  HP support didn't know if there was or not.  If it is not length, then there is a problem with the documented character set.

BTW, I reused my original, 17 char pw again and it failed a second time.   The answer to my original post is that there is not a default pw.  If you don't configure the security the web server let's everybody come on in without authentication.

Good luck, us.
