So another try in another part of this forum :
Envy 7800 does not recognize pc when scanning from Envy 7800... - HP Support Forum - 6796152
Hi All ,
My Envy 7800 :
HP ENVY Photo 7800 All-in-One Printer series
Y0G50B
firmwareversion : PALSUPPPXN003.1829A.00
is having problems whem scanning from Envy to PC via touchmenu button on Envy : via Scanning to computer I can select worklaptop , but my home pc ( Win 7 32 bit all updates ) is not recognized ....
I can ping the printer , everything else on the printer seems to work fine .
Even when I'm starting a scan from my PC it works fine . it scans to a designated folder .
Only when I'm starting the scan on the printer trying to select my PC , my PC is not recognized ...
When I've reached the printer via a webbrowser via tab webservices : everything on that page is switched on and connected.
Tried HP Scan doctor : no problems found ...
Removed the printer in 'Devices ' and let Windows find the printer again : it was not automaticly recognized : I had to choose the printer from the list windows suggested...
Any one a suggestion or even beter a solution ?
I've spend too much time in solving this problem
So why does the Envy 7800 not recognise my PC when selecting a scan on the TouchScreen / frontside controls of the printer ?
Thanks in advance ,
kind regards Danny

5) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
😎 Click on the “Drivers” tab
9) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

Hi All ,
the problem was solved for a short time , same problem occured again : everything works fine except one thing as mentioned before :
When scanning and trying to send a scan direct to my pc in the network ( buttons on touch screen printer ) my pc is not recognized at all like before .
The is asking for software ...
Nothing's changed on my pc , it did work before .
Why is my pc not recognized by the Envy ?
waiting for your reply
regards , Danny
