Double sided printing does not align on my Windows 10 ASUS computer but is fine on my Chromebook. I am printing with Flip on Short Edge and it is off horizontally by about 1/4". I have already reinstalled and run the Scan Doctor.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with alignment when printing on both sides.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you root uninstall the printer and then reinstall and check whether the issue is resolved.

Here is how it is done.

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Restart the PC

14.) Download and install the printer software from the below link.

Thank you for the reply. I got up to Step #9 and then got the message, "Unable to remove Print driver. The specified printer driver is currently in use."  How can I resolve this?

Thanks for your help!

Ignore that last message, I had to uninstall HP Smart and was able to delete the driver and reinstall. It is still not aligning properly for double-sided, flip on short edge. Works fine on my Chromebook so it's not the file. Other ideas?

Thanks

Thanks The_Fossette. This is exactly what I did. If I do it on my husband's Chrome book the front and back line up perfectly. But if I do it from my Windows 10 PC they do not line up and are about 3/8" off. It seems like a print driver problem, but I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times and still the same problem with alignment ...

From which application/software you are printing? (Like Word, PDF)

Thanks!

Thank you so much. After an hour on the phone they decided it was Google's problem, so I am stuck with a printer that I can't print double sided from (the same file printed fine on the Canon printer that I had previously). Guess I will have to go back to Canon. I do appreciate you're trying to help, though.
