Envy 5544 has a problem.

Nothing will print from my PC.

I can print from my iPad and iPhone.

I get the error 0x80004005

I have tried deleting and installing the printer again, twice.

I have updated the drivers from HP.

This all started when I upgraded to Windows 11 and then reverted to Windows 10 as the Windows 11 was slowing my PC down.

Any help would be appreciated.

Echo_Lake,

The printer carriage is fine.

I can print from my iPhone and managed to print several other internal documents on the printer without difficulties. (Printer status report, HP Configuration Page etc).

I have already installed the latest firmware.

Still struggling.

Can you see this Echo_Lake?

I have checked the printer many times and re-loaded it after deleting it.

I also printed documents from an alternate laptop i have without any difficulties.

I am convinced it is something to do with upgrading to Windows 11 and then reverting to Windows 10.

Are you using HP smart app? If yes then try to uninstall and reinstall the HP smart app and then try printing.

Echo_Lake,

I have done as you suggest below several times.

I paid for support from HP and they tell me there is nothing wrong with the printer.

I am currently talking to Dell and they have suggested re-loading my operating system.

Currently doing a complete back-up and will do the operating system tomorrow.

This is almost certainly caused by upgrading to Windows 11.

Thanks for your suggestions.

The problem is resolved.

Dell assisted me, at a cost, to reinstall my operating system and the printer now works.

All I have to do now is find all my data that I thought I had backed up but is looking to be problematic.

Thanks for your help.

By the way, I am still convinced this was caused by the Windows 11 upgrade and return to Windows 10.

Not happy.
