LaserJet 600 M602

Following a power surge, our LaserJet 600 M602 displays Error 99.09.67, "Not Bootable."  I downloaded ljM601_602_603_fs3.9.4_fw_2303010_581425.bdl and attempted to replace the firmware from a USB thumbdrive using the preboot menu.  The printer found the file, showed a progress bar, then displayed "Firmware Download / Unknown Error / Any Key to Exit."  Is there any way to resurrect this printer?

You can use any sata arrive, but you will need to mount it to the formatter door. Double sided tape works. If you want encrypted storage you need to find a self-encryption capable drive. You will need to clear the disk password when you install the new drive before installing the firmware.

Probably a failed arrive. In preboot run the diagnostics on all the subsystems before replacing anything.

Thanks, Repairatrooper.  You are probably right.  I ran the diagnostics and got "Disk Test Failed."  How difficult a job is it to replace?
