Hi, I have a new 9120e printer, I am unable to finish set up in the app and get error code 

(Error Code: EBSOOP0013)

have tried re setting, making sure everything up to date etc but unable to finish.

1. Restart and Reset

  • Restart everything: Turn off your printer, router, and phone/computer. Wait for 2-3 minutes and turn them back on.
  • Reset printer network settings:
    • Go to Settings > Network Setup > Restore Network Settings on your printer.
    • Reconnect to Wi-Fi using 2.4GHz (if available) for better compatibility.

2. Reinstall the HP Smart App

  • Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart app from your device.
  • Sign in with your HP account before adding the printer.
  • Make sure your device and printer are on the same Wi-Fi network.

3. Manually Update Firmware

  • Check for firmware updates on your printer:
    • Control Panel > Settings > Printer Maintenance > Update Printer
  • If your printer isn’t connected, manually update using a USB connection from a PC:
    • Download the firmware update from HP’s support website.

4. Try a Different Device

  • If setup fails on a mobile device, try using a PC/laptop with the HP Smart app.

5. Create a New HP Account

  • Some users have reported fixing this error by signing in with a different HP account during setup.
