So tired of HP's inability to write basic software. It's time to clear them out.
I've been using HP printers for over 30 years, on and off, and since I can remember the HP software has been junk. I barely use a printer, but thought, they occasionally come in handy, as i work more from home. So I went for a nice looking 2700, just for basic scanning and occasional printing. I planned on using the instant ink sub, as it seemed like a good deal. So what should be a 2 minute job, setting up a 'plug and play' device, has turned in to a 2-3 hour mess. Error Code: OW_4XX_OWSWS00001every time I try and created an account. It tells me I need to reset the printer settings, which I do, and then when it gets to the HP+ account creation, I get this nonsense. I've tried on my phone. I've tried on my Windows PC. I've tried 4 times. I'm now done. The only way you will keep me as a customer is if you give me a total of 6 additional months of free ink, on top of the 6 that came with the printer, otherwise I have already started the return process on Amazon, and you can take this junk back. Genuinely HP, do you even real life test your devices with this bodged up setup software that you ship with the device? The devices seem fine, they scan and print as they should, but a simple thing like register your device, or set up the hardware and you seem absolutely incapable. Like i said, if this was the first time I would not be as sharp with you, but I struggle to see how you're still in business, knowing that things like this have been happening for decades. I even remember the CDS you packaged with them, and the bloated rubbish you would include. All we want to do is print stuff off. Can you you start getting it right? Who's going to solve this problem, or am I returning?
