Hi every one.
I have a problem with the alignment of the print heads in the cardridges on my DeskJet 3760. I recently changed computers and had to install the printer from scratch. Previously I had win 10 and some default software for my printer, but after changing my computer from Win11 I didn't really know how to find the software again on the internet and I just installed HP Smart.
Some time ago I decided to align the print heads through HP Smart and here I encountered a problem - after printing a page and entering all the letters with numbers it pops up a message “Unable to align.” I tried several times and still the same thing. Probem is that the printouts are starting to get smudged and I would like to fix that. Anyone know how to make it work? Or maybe someone knows where the direct software for this printer is?
Thank you in advance!

Ok, i figured it out!
You need to find printer Assistant in Menu Start (if you dont have it, instal it through HP Easy Star). This Assistant is working great. Alligment finished!
HP Smart is unfortunately full of bugs and dont work. You can delete it.

@DanWiecz, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Failed printhead alignment after Win 11 update!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If you are having trouble with print head alignment on your HP DeskJet 3760 after switching to Windows 11, you can manually perform print head alignment using HP Smart, a software application that you already installed.
Steps to Align Print Heads:
Open HP Smart:
- If you don't have it installed, you can download it from the Microsoft Store.
Add your Printer:
- Ensure your printer is added to HP Smart. You can do this by clicking the '+' sign and following the on-screen instructions.
Alignment Process:
- In HP Smart, navigate to the Printer Maintenance section.
- Choose Align Printheads from the available options.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to start the alignment process.
Troubleshooting:
If alignment issues persist, ensuring that you have the latest drivers for your printer can help:
Update Printer Drivers:
- HP recommends using Windows Update to get the latest software and drivers. To update your drivers, you can search for and open Check for updates in Windows, and then follow the on-screen instructions to install the latest updates.
Manually Install Drivers:
- If Windows Update does not provide the latest drivers, you can visit the HP software and drivers page and search for HP DeskJet 3760 under your specific operating system.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!

@zoey7886
Thank you for your detailed response!
Unfortunately, after the Windows 11 latest update, performing the printhead alignment through HP Smart and installing the latest drivers did not resolve the issue. The problem still persists.
Do you have any other suggestions on how to fix this?
Looking forward to your advice.
Best regards,
@DanWiecz
