Hello
I have been trying to get my new printer set up on the HP Smart app via my mobile and computer. I can get through most of the setup fine without any fail, that is when it comes to registering the printer. I get a message telling me that it's unable to register with the error code OW_4XX_OWSWS00001. I have rested the printer too many times to count plus the smart app also had a WhatsApp chat with support that got me to do the same thing as I have done before talking to them.
I already have an account as have owned an HP printer before until it wasn't working. why I decided to get another HP printer just didn't wish for the nightmare to follow. Thanks for reading.

Nope as That's the same steps as I have done like 50 times and still do the same thing time and time again with the same error code, even when talking to support. I may just have to cut my losses at this point and not be able to use HP Smart as love or money is not registering I love the whole idea of having the ink posted to me when I am low. So I just have to go out of my way to buy the ink I need from somewhere else. The printer works fine, I have had to download the drives needed so my kids can do their work ready for the return to school.

Having the printer working isn't the point, it is not being able to use the HP smart app as it won't register the printer so I am able to use the instant ink which was the big part of getting a new HP printer in the first place. Every time I speak to anyone I get the same response of doing the same steps I have done like 50 times still a week after getting the new printer. So now I totally give up at this point and will have to go find places that sell the ink for the printer. Having the instant ink as I did with the old printer I had was a big-time saver and was really hoping to do the same this time round, I am now wishing I had brought a different printer if I wanted to waste my time looking around places to get the ink. So I will close my online cloud as it's now pointless.

Sorry about the delay Thanks for the inbox message I have phoned up this after after a painful 1.5 hours on the phone we have been able to get the printer onto my online account via the HP smart app. That is great, now Could you help me once more please with another issue I am now facing? This is with the automatic firmware update, on the info page I have printed out it tells me that this is off. I have been into the advanced setting of the printer to hopefully get it on but I have hit a wall, asking for me to sign in with a username and password which I have no clue too. All help welcome

The issue I was facing yesterday with not having the firmware off, I have managed to get this sorted out myself this morning. Just don't think it was playing ball with me yesterday afternoon. everything is now sorted, Just waiting for the ink to get here now it has been shipped out.
Just leaves me now to thank you for your help and the wonderful lady I spoke to on the phone yesterday on the instant ink support line number you gave me. You are all stars and have been very patient with me while talking me through every step on the phone. via WhatsApp and on here, we got there at the very end of nearly 3 weeks of trying to get the printer linked to my account. I am very much grateful for everyone's help with this matter.
