Hi @kw-jti,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I understand that you're trying to complete the setup of your HP ENVY Inspire 7955e All-in-One Printer, but the HP app continues to display“Setup incomplete. Finish printer setup” and error UA_400_EB000U0410.
Let's work on this together.
Please try the following steps:
- Update the HP app
- Make sure you're using the latest version of the HP app.
- You can get the current HP printer software/app through https://123.hp.com/.
- If the app store shows Update, install the update. If it only shows Open, the app is already current.
- Check that the printer's hardware setup is complete
- Make sure all packing material and tape have been removed.
- Open the cartridge access area and check the paper trays.
- For HP ENVY Inspire 7900 series printers, HP specifically advises checking for additional cardboard between the paper trays and tape securing the trays.
- Turn the printer off and then back on.
- Return to the HP app and select Try Again.
- If setup still doesn't complete, select Exit Setup, close the HP app, restart the printer, reopen the app, and try completing setup again.
- Remove and add the printer again
- Make sure the printer and the device running the HP app are connected to the same network.
- Close and reopen the HP app and restart the printer.
- In the current HP app, select the printer, scroll to the bottom, and select Remove from app. In HP Smart, right-click the printer and select Hide Printer, then confirm Hide Printer.
- Select Add Printer and follow the prompts to complete the setup again.
If the same UA_400_EB000U0410 error continues, please let us know:
- Which device and operating system are you using with the HP app, for example, Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS?
- Is the printer already connected to Wi-Fi?
- Are both the printer and the device running the HP app connected to the same Wi-Fi network?
- At what exact point during Finish printer setup does the error appear?
- Does the printer otherwise print normally?
This information will help us determine the appropriate next step.

I'm on a Dell Latitude laptop running Windows 11 Pro.
The printer is connected to the same wi-fi that my laptop is connected to. The printer works normally. I can print wirelessly.
The screenshot below is the error I'm getting. This printer was previously registered and I'm trying to get it set up on my account instead. I've tried resetting the printer, but not sure how to deregister it. I don't have access to the previous email.
