Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I installed the app Adobe Acobat Reader DC, and each time I start my computer I receive an error message that says the following - " Adobe Acrobat Reader Reader could not open hpqtra08.exe because it was either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).

Can anyone help me with this?  Has anyone ever seen this error message before?

Welcome to HP Community

Let's set Adobe Acrobat Reader DC as the default program for viewing pdf files.

1. In Windows, search for and open Control panel, and then click Programs.

2. Click Default Programs, and then click Associate a file type protocol with a program.

The Default apps window displays.

3.   Scroll down the window, and then click Choose default apps by file type.

4.   Find .pdf, click the plus sign or the default app, select Adobe Acrobat Reader DC from the list of results, and then close the Settings window.

If the issue persists run an SFC Scan. Please refer to this Link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/4026529/windows-10-using-system-file-checker
