I have an HP printer Color Laser Jet Pro M452dw that will not print anymore because of "Expired Certificate". Every place I check says to make sure the date and time are correct. Directions--"Navigate to Setings/Setup; then to General Settings-then to Date & Time. There is no menu items that let me do that. I have checked every menu item and printed out every report including all the menu items. There just is no "Time & Date" item to choose.

If I cannot get past this first step I cannot get any further.

There are "Hidden Menus" in almost everything we use. Computers, printers, TVs, Cars etc. On the HP Photosmart 7520, I have to get to the "Hidden Menu by pressing 4 buttons. It's in there you will find the menu to put the date and time in. I wish I could tell you how to access that on your printer, but I just don't know. On the Photosmart 7520. I have to hit, "Home", "Back" "Cancel" & "Back" again to get into the hidden "Engineering Menu". Justin from HPs "Instant Ink Department" told me how to do it. I am "Disabled" and was gifted the printer which is brand new. But it didn't have the "SETUP Cartridges". These cartridges do a lot and have very little ink in them. I bought "Genuine" HP Ink. But kept getting a error message asking for the "SETUP Cartridges". Justin told me how to "Knock Out" that error message. But there are more steps that need to be done to "Initialize" the printer that only HP knows how to do. But after 20 hours on the phone, which I have documented. They just want me to buy a new printer. Which I can't afford....

My suggestion would be to do a specific search and see if you can find something on the internet or on YouTube so you can use your printer.

Thank you for your reply and to sounds like you had similar frustrations as well. They should have something like Apple has with its phone support. I have had Apple take over my computer and delve into whatever problem(s) I have experienced over the 25-30 years I have owned Apple products. I know it is not a computer issue but there should be more help/support for HP products such as with their printers.

Maybe someone will come up with how to find the hidden menus on my 452 dw printer. Right now it is schedule for Electronic Trash Pick-up on the 28th.

It's too bad Hp's response to you is to buy a new printer. I assume it was not under warranty when they offered their solution. Best of luck to you and thanks again for sharing.
