Hi @Tryxy3e_Ali,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I understand how important it is to get your HP OfficeJet Pro 8500A Plus e-All-in-One Printer working, especially when you need to print documents. Installing the original driver can definitely help restore printing functionality until you consider a new printer.

  • Have you recently updated your operating system, which might have caused compatibility issues with the printer driver?
  • Are you receiving any specific error messages related to the driver when you try to print?
  • Do you still have access to the original installation disc or the original driver files for the printer?

Let's try these steps.

Download the Original Driver

  • Go to the HP Support website and search for the OfficeJet Pro 8500A Plus model. Download the original driver compatible with your operating system. Make sure to select the correct version (32-bit or 64-bit) based on your system.

Uninstall Existing Drivers

  • Before installing the original driver, it’s a good idea to uninstall any existing drivers that may be causing conflicts. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on the OfficeJet Pro 8500A, and select Remove Device. Then, navigate to Programs and Features in the Control Panel and uninstall any HP software related to the printer.

Install the Original Driver

  • Once you’ve uninstalled the old drivers, run the downloaded original driver installation file. Follow the prompts to complete the installation, ensuring you select the option for a USB or network connection, depending on how you plan to connect the printer.

Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • After installation, you can download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor from the HP website. This tool can help diagnose and fix common printing issues, including driver problems.

Test the Printer

  • Try printing a test document after reinstalling the driver. If it prints successfully, you can proceed with your other documents. If you continue to encounter issues, the driver installation should at least provide a temporary solution until you decide on a new printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
