Hi @MDFilho,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you want to factory reset your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M132fw. Follow these steps carefully. This will restore all settings to default, including the forgotten password.

Factory Reset via Printer Control Panel

  1. Turn the printer ON and make sure it's in a ready state.
  2. On the printer control panel, press the Settings (gear icon).
  3. Navigate to:
    • Service > Restore Defaults
  4. Select OK to confirm.

The printer will restart automatically after about 20 seconds.

If You're Locked Out (Can't Access Settings)

If you can't access the control panel due to the password, try this hardware reset method:

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Press and hold the “Cancel” and “Right Arrow” buttons on the control panel.
  3. While holding the buttons, turn the printer back on.
  4. Keep holding the buttons until you see “Permanent Storage Init” or a similar message.
  5. Release the buttons and wait for the printer to restart.

⚠️ This will erase all custom settings, including network and admin passwords.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Hi!

The printer has no physical buttons...the functions are managed by touchscreen.

Only the power button is physical.

Thanks,

Hi @MDFilho,

Thank you for getting back. The steps shared are for the Touchscreen panel. Could you try and let me know what happens when you try the steps on the control panel?

Let me know

But on the touch screen I only have the "back", "home" and "help" buttons...
