Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have a hp officejet 5744 that i got second hand.  apparently an account is already attached to this printer. if i do a hard factory reset, will this allow me to set up a new account to use this printer without connecting to the internet?

@Hardknocks1 Are you referring to the HP Instant Ink account? if not, what account are you referring to? could you elaborate?

Also, to answer your question, when you reset the printer it would delete all previously saved settings of the printer and it would be like a brand new one (this doesn't make any different to the instant ink account), once reset you will need to go through the setup process:

Install the printing software. Do not connect the printer to a computer until instructed to do so in the printing software.

Download the latest version of the printing software from the following HP website

Refer to the user guide for more details: click here
