Hi @Hugo_LB ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand resetting your HP Laser MFP 135w to factory settings should help resolve the issue with the embedded web server login password.
Here's how you can perform a factory reset:
- Power off the Printer: Ensure the printer is turned on. If it's currently printing, allow it to finish and then power it off.
- Press and Hold Buttons: Locate the physical buttons on your printer. Usually, there is a combination of buttons you need to press and hold to initiate the factory reset process. This combination varies depending on the model. For HP printers, it typically involves holding down a specific combination of buttons while turning the printer on.
- Factory Reset Sequence: Here's a common sequence, but it may vary slightly for your model. Press and hold the "Cancel" button and the "Wireless" button simultaneously. While holding them down, turn the printer on. Keep holding the buttons down until the printer's display panel shows the "Permanent Storage Init" message, indicating that the reset process has started.
- Release Buttons: Once the reset process begins, release the buttons and allow the printer to complete the reset. This may take a few moments.
- Printer Configuration: After the reset is complete, the printer will restart. You'll need to set it up again, including connecting it to your network if it's a wireless printer.
- Embedded Web Server: Once the printer has restarted, try accessing the embedded web server again. The default login credentials should now work, allowing you to access the settings and configure the printer as needed.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
