I am trying to connect my printer to my wifi and it isn't working. How do I factory reset my Deskjet 2541 printer?

Hi @Kaskel,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Performing a factory reset on your HP Deskjet 2541 printer can vary slightly depending on the model, but generally, you can try the following steps.

  1. Turn on the Printer:

    • Make sure your printer is turned on.
  2. Cancel any Print Jobs:

    • If there are any print jobs in the queue, cancel them.
  3. Press and Hold the Power Button:

    • Press and hold the power button on the printer. Keep it pressed until the printer turns off completely.
  4. Disconnect Power Cord:

    • Once the printer is off, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  5. Wait for 10-15 Seconds:

    • Wait for about 10-15 seconds to allow the printer's internal components to reset.
  6. Reconnect the Power Cord:

    • Reconnect the power cord to the back of the printer.
  7. Turn on the Printer:

    • Turn on the printer by pressing the power button.
  8. Perform Initial Setup:

    • After the printer restarts, it may prompt you to perform the initial setup. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  9. Connect to Wi-Fi:

    • During the setup process, you will be prompted to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your Wi-Fi credentials.
  10. Complete Setup:

    • Once the setup is complete, try printing a test page to ensure that the printer is functioning correctly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
