Hi @Balbag77,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Factory reset steps vary by printer model, but here’s the general process for most HP printers:

Method 1: From Printer Control Panel

  1. On the printer’s touchscreen, go to: Setup (gear icon) → Printer Maintenance or SettingsRestore Defaults.
  2. Select Restore Factory Defaults or Reset All Settings.
  3. Confirm the reset. The printer will restart.

Method 2: Using Embedded Web Server (EWS)

  1. Find your printer’s IP address (on the printer display or via network settings).
  2. Enter the IP in a web browser to open the EWS.
  3. Navigate to: Settings → General → Restore Factory Defaults.
  4. Confirm and restart the printer.

Method 3: Hard Reset (Non-Touchscreen Models)

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Disconnect the power cord for 60 seconds.
  3. While plugging back in, hold Cancel + OK (or Power + Resume, depending on model) until the printer powers on and resets.

⚠️ Note: A factory reset will erase Wi-Fi settings, custom configurations, and sometimes Instant Ink enrollment. Make sure you have your network credentials handy for re-setup.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
