Hello.

I downloaded from HP's site the latest firmware update. I ran and installed it. 

Installer shows me that's OK (smiley emoji). But when I printed the configuration page I saw that the firmware stayed the same. In C:\ I found the HPFWUpdate.log which has many errors. I have no problem as as I read the only change this version has is a change of network security, but neither the printer nor my computer is on a network. I'm mentioning it in case HP can solve it.

I'd like to help!

 

Try a factory default and then update the firmware -

 

  1. On the printer control panel, press the OK button to display the Home screen.

  2. Open the Service menu.

  3. Select the Restore Defaults option, and then press the OK button.

    The printer automatically restarts.

 Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Hi. 

1) HP M1132 MFP hasnt Control Panel display

2) I have already tried downloading and running the firmware. The problem is as I describe it to you at first post.

3) "HP smart" utiity cant see the machine. So i cant try to update via the utility. The printer is connected, installed, and works normally.

I have shared alternate steps to perform the reset.

 

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
