HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 All-in-One Printer
iOS

We have one Mac laptop, 2 iPads and 2 iPhones, with an HP 9015 OfficeJet Pro printer. All devices have connected to the printer until one iPad has just failed to connect; all others are fine. No obvious problems. Suggestions, please.

@James898, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If one iPad is experiencing difficulties connecting to your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 All-in-One Printer while other devices are connecting successfully, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:

Confirm Wi-Fi Connection on iPad:

  • Ensure that the iPad is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network that the printer is also connected to.

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off your iPad and restart it.
  • Restart your printer by turning it off and then on again.

Update Software:

  • Check for any available updates for the iPad’s operating system. Ensure it is running the latest version.
  • Make sure that all apps are up-to-date, especially the HP Smart app.

Forget and Reconnect to Network:

  • On the iPad, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, tap the network you are connected to, and select "Forget this network." Reconnect to the network by selecting it again and entering the password if prompted.

Reset the Network Settings:

  • Sometimes network settings can become problematic. On the iPad, go to Settings > General > Reset, choose "Reset Network Settings." This will clear all Wi-Fi passwords and network settings, so ensure you have them noted down before proceeding.

Check Printer Status:

  • Ensure the printer is connected to the Wi-Fi network. Verify the printer’s connection by printing a network configuration report from the printer control panel to confirm network settings.

Use HP Smart App:

  • Use the HP Smart app to ensure the iPad is recognizing the printer. Open the app and attempt to add the printer again. This app can provide troubleshooting and setup guidance as well.

Printer's Firmware Updates:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for the printer and perform the updates if needed.

Router and Network Check:

  • Ensure that your router is functioning correctly. Sometimes rebooting the router can resolve connectivity issues.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you for that - I have tried most of your suggestions, but not HP Smart yet. That’s this evening’s project.
