I bought a new printer yesterday. I already have an HP account. I can access the HP Smart App on my desktop but when downloading the app on my phone - a Samsung Note 8(which asks me to log in to HP Smart App) I'm unable to do so. Can someone explain a fix.

I understand you are not able to log in to the HP Smart app on your Android device.
Check if the Android device is up to date.
Reinstall the app from the Play Store and check if that helps.
