HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I installed a new OfficeJet Pro 9125e today

On the fax call report it puts the correct time (CST) under fax header information, however where it lists the job date/time it is in (GMT)

Fax Header Information:  Apr 24, 2024 8:51:50 PM CST

Job Date/Time 4/25/2024 1:51:9

Also on the Fax Activity Log all of the Date/Times are listed in GMT

I've checked my settings on the printer itself under menu, general, settings, date and time

I've also checked my settings on the HP Smart App

I've typed in the IP address for the printer and confirmed the settings

I just need to know how to have the times on the fax call report and the fax activity log to be CST NOT GMT

Hi @shooker1 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you've already done a thorough check of the settings both on the printer itself and through the HP Smart App. Since the fax call report and fax activity log are showing GMT times despite your attempts to set the correct time zone, there might be a few additional steps to try:

  • Firmware Update: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve issues related to time settings.Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Reset to Factory Defaults: If updating the firmware doesn't work, you might try resetting the printer to its factory defaults. This can sometimes clear up persistent issues with settings.
  • Check Network Time Settings: Ensure that the network your printer is connected to is providing the correct time information. Sometimes, network time settings can override local settings on devices.
  • Alternative Fax Software: If all else fails, you might consider using alternative fax software on your computer that allows you to set the time zone directly within the application. This would allow you to generate fax reports with the correct time zone.

Refer to this document:  HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e All-in-One Printer User manual

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
