I'm trying to pair my printer with the HP cloud to enable "scan to email". At the end of the process I'm asked for an "Access Delta Program Security Word".  What is that? Where can I find it? I have searched everywhere.

Scanning to email was working before, but then the printer decided to update its firmware and scanning to email stoppped working.

Has anyone figured out how to get the security word? There are multiple posts about the same issue and it doesn’t look like anyone has found an answer yet. This printer was purchased only a few months ago and was quite expensive. For it to stop working now is outrageous.

There was an automatic firmware update, and of course, it broke stuff.

Cannot scan to email, and when I put in new pairing code online, I get prompted for "security word for access delta program."    None of the suggestions in the virtual HP support work.  **bleep** do we do to get our printers/scanners working again?   Thx,

Hi @laikushfliaushd,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are pairing your printer with the HP cloud to enable "scan to email". Kindly follow the steps below:

If the "Access Delta Program" was prompted when they tried to pair the printer to the account to use scan to email.

As an interim workaround, it's recommended that the device is onboarded via the hpsmart.com/connect URL instead of the hpsmart.com/startscan. Once the device is onboarded, you can configure Scan-to-Email as usual via the Admin portal.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
