HP laserjet 1012
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Laserjet 1012 working on a Dell computer with Windows 10 64 bit home operating system.  I had a hard time getting it installed and working several years ago but I did and it works fine. I now have a new Dell computer with Windows 10 64 bit Pro operating system and want to move the printer to the new system.  I think I need to locate the specific printer drivers on the old machine and move them to the new one. How do I do it?

@Wakingup, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Due to the age of the printer, there is no driver available on the HP Support site to work on a Win 10 OS. However, you may install the printer using Windows built-in driver

Connect the USB cable. Refer to this document to know how to install the driver. Try printing.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

That didn't work.

I have a driver that works on the old machine. Can you tell me where to find it and where to place it on the new machine?

Thanks

@Wakingup

If you have the setup file of the driver on your old computer, you may transfer(copy-paste) it to the new computer via a USB/flash drive and install the same.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
