I have unplugged, disconnected the power cable and my BRAND NEW PRINTER won’t progress past the firm update screen ( this is after I click “recommended “ and then click “SAVE”. I’ve disconnected it at least 5 times now including from the outlet and it goes back to that save point where I hear a “click” when I press SAVE but the screen remains the same. I’m VERY frustrated as I’ve had my new computer for 6 days now and haven’t been able to use it
i am trying to do a reset to factory settings to just try that but obviously can’t find out how

Something went wrong during the firmware update.
The control panel is not working which makes it impossible to connect to internet.
Connect an ethernet cable form the printer to the router and turn the printer on.
Possibly it can connect to the HP server and download what it needs to finish the firmware upgrade.
If not then return it the the vendor as it is under warranty and the firmware update failure broke the printer.
If they can fix it fine. If they replace it make sure it's connected to the Internet before doing the firmware upgrade.
Read what the firmware upgrade does and decide if you really want to do the upgrade.

If your printer is "frozen" on a specific screen, it might be due to a firmware update issue or a glitch in the system. Here are a few steps you can take to resolve the issue: 1. Power Cycle the Printer The first thing to try is a simple power cycle. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 30 seconds. Then plug it back in and turn it on. This often helps reset the system and can unfreeze the screen. 2. Check for Firmware Updates Sometimes, a printer may get stuck during a firmware update. Ensure that you’re using the latest firmware version for your printer model. You can usually download updates directly from the manufacturer’s website. For example, if you’re using a brother hl-l2350dw you can visit Brother’s support page to download the latest firmware and follow their instructions for updating. 3. Factory Reset If the printer remains unresponsive, you may need to perform a factory reset. Be aware that this will restore all settings to default, so ensure you have a backup of any specific configurations you want to keep. These steps should help get your printer back to normal functionality. If the problem persists, contacting the manufacturer's support team might be necessary for further troubleshooting.
