Hello, I have a big problem with my OfficeJet Pro 9020. It is currently on software Version 2607A and is rejecting my ink cartridges. I tried every way possible that I found online to downgrade it to an earlier version but everything failed, after I see on my PC screen that the update is working the printer just restarts and loops on "checking for Printer Updates", when I present a flash drive with the 222A software ful2 file it does nothing, only the 2607A software ful2 file makes it reflash the firmware that is already installed. I really need a way to downgrade to the 222A firmware, please help me how. Thanks!

These HP printers (with a firmware update) can use non-HP ink. Your 9020 is not one of them, sorry. HP is not the only company that wants their own ink used. The last time I checked, Epson, Canon and Brother all do the same.

Some Laserjet printers can avoid these restrictions by not updating firmware.
My HP CM1415 takes any type of cheap toner. The cheaper the toner the uglier the printout.
