Product: Laserjet M402dn
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The firmware update page has conflicting information as to applicable hardware -  the installation instructions clearly state the firmware is for  HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M402-M403 series.    My device is the Laserjet M402dn.  Its not a color or mfp device.  Not color. Not a MFP.  The description tab has- This update is recommended for the HP Color LaserJet Pro M402-M403 series.  The enhancement tab has- HP LaserJet Pro M402 and M403 Series Firmware Enhancements and Fix List for date code 2016011.

 

I don't want to corrupt the firmware or disable the device.  Appreciate any assistance from HP expert.

Hi,

This is the correct firmware for the HP LaserJet Pro M402 Series, I could ensure it by checking its content.

 

I refer to the firmware below, to ensure we are fully aligned:

You may use the firmware update with no worries for the Laserjet M402dn, I will notify HP about the description model name typo.
