Hi,

I just installed my new printer, no issues, but I ran the firmware update tool thinking it will update to the latest but it actually doesn't! (I read it after ! my bad)   It's the initial one released on Oct 26, 2018 (20180726) but the version I previously had on my new printer was 20190718 and I can't even find this on the HP Web pages... any idea how to get the latest one? the HP Web page obviously isn't the latest!  I would love to re-upgrade to what I had at least as it's obviously more recent!

I'll post an update here in case others are wondering ...  

 

 

 

Basically, the M118/M119 and M203/204/205/206 series seems to share the same firmware based on the  Firmware image index from HP that the Firmware upgrade tool use.  I downloaded the firmware upgrade for the M203 to 206 , which basically does the M118/M203 series and it put the 20190718 Firmware back in.  so if you do the same mistake that I did and you want to get the newer firmware back, use the HP_LaserJet_Pro_M203_Ultra_M206_Printer_Series_20190718.exe program and it will do it for you!  The header of the software says "HP Laserjet M118/M203 Series Firmware Update 20190718" at the top ... did it and i'm back on it ... no issues ! 

 

The firmware Index image information can be found here and search for M118, you see the two entries related to it :
