Product: HP Deskjet 1050
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

Fixing HP Printer issue on macOS... Tried to resolve this issue by following the HP Help instructions. Using a HP Desktop 1050 printer and uninstalled the driver software as instructed (!). Now I cannot reinstall the download driver software as HP say they have no software support for this printer. HP Easy Start doesn't work either. Does anyone have a solution?

Unfortunately none of the suggested fixes work for me. The download link which updates the certificate results in an error message, and the 5.1 has 'insufficient data'. Frustrating as I only uninstalled to start with after HP Help instructions to fix their problem!
