@13061, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Position the Paper Guide: Place the thin plastic piece (often referred to as the paper guide) behind the flip plate rollers. Ensure the rollers fit between the square plastic tongues of the paper guide. The plastic tongues should point upwards, with the flat part of the paper guide on the bottom.

Align the Metal Rod: With the flip gate in the open position, seat the right end of the metal rod into the notch on the right side of the printer.

Settle the Plastic Gear Wheel: On the left side, open the flip gate slightly more to allow the plastic gear wheel to settle into place next to the other gear.

Close the Flip Gate: Once everything is aligned, gently close the flip gate.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
