Hi @NoneX1,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I understand how inconvenient it is when a Windows update disrupts your printer’s functionality, especially with important double-sided printing. Let's work on restoring duplex printing.
- When you try to print, is the "Print on both sides" option missing or grayed out?
- Have you checked if the printer driver is set to automatic duplexing in printer properties?
- Did you install the latest HP drivers or is the printer using the default Windows driver?
Check Printer Preferences:
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers
- Right-click on HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 > Printing Preferences
- Ensure Two-sided (Duplex) printing is enabled.
Update Printer Driver/ and firmware:
- Visit HP’s support website, download, and install the latest HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 drivers.
- Alternatively, update via Device Manager:
- Expand Printers, right-click your printer, and choose Update driver.
Check Printer Properties:
- In Devices and Printers, right-click the printer > Printer Properties.
- Under the Device Settings tab, ensure Duplex Unit Installed is selected.
Remove and Reinstall the Printer:
- Remove the printer from Devices and Printers.
- Restart your computer and reinstall the printer using the HP Smart app or HP’s website.
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor from HP’s website to detect and fix any driver or settings issues.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
