Hi @Savovic1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you have trouble using the printer with the Admin password, To reset the admin password on your HP LaserJet MFP M140w, you can perform a factory reset by turning off the printer, pressing and holding the down arrow and cancel buttons, then turning the printer on while holding the buttons until the attention light turns on.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

1. Power Down:

  • Turn off the HP LaserJet MFP M140w completely.

2. Press and Hold Buttons:

  • Press and hold the down arrow and cancel buttons simultaneously.
  • While holding these buttons, turn on the printer.

3. Release Buttons:

  • Continue holding the buttons until the attention light on the printer turns on.
  • Then, release the down arrow and cancel buttons.

4. Initialization:

  • The printer will start an initialization process, which may take about 60 seconds.
  • Once the initialization is complete, the printer will return to the Ready state, and the admin password will be reset to its default value.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
