Hello all, I have lost admin password for EWS that I setup a few years ago. Is there a way to reset it back to defaults?
I have twice attempted to reset to "factory defaults" but it does not work. Can a "hard reset" be performed?
HP ENVY 4520 with Windows 10 running
I am still getting [personal info removed] is requesting your username and password. The site says: “admin"]
I have tried admin & [blank] and it is not working

I have the exact same issue with the same printer. I had all the papers but due to not being able to find said papers in storage I have not been able to print or anything for the last 4 months because I can not find an actual solution to this issue.
Resetting the printer to factory does nothing. I can print the printer info stuff but that is all and it tells me nothing about EWS information...
I am beyond ready to find a frickin solution to this mind boggling issue.. I hope you are able to find a solution quicker than me..

Hi @KandieAWood, @remote_cabin,
I'd like to help!
We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
- In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Will not work, as stated I have performed a factory reset several times and all it does is reset the printer settings not the EWS.
