Hi @Bigredota,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you've forgotten the username and password for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 printer and are unable to access the network settings due to the control panel lock, you may need to perform a factory reset on the printer. Keep in mind that a factory reset will erase all settings, including the network configuration and stored preferences.

Here's a general guide on how to perform a factory reset on an HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 printer.

Power On/Off:

  • Make sure the printer is powered on.

Control Panel:

  • On the printer control panel, locate and touch the gear icon or "Setup" to access the menu.

Service Menu:

  • In the setup menu, look for an option called "Service" or "Tools."

Restore Defaults or Reset Menu:

  • Within the Service or Tools menu, you should find an option to restore factory defaults or reset the printer. This might be labeled differently on your specific printer.

Confirmation:

  • Confirm that you want to perform the factory reset.

Restart:

  • Once the reset is complete, restart the printer.

After the factory reset, the printer should return to its default settings, and you can set it up again, including connecting it to the correct network.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
