Hi @Mekkie1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Wi-Fi Password:

  • If the printer is asking for a Wi-Fi password, ensure you are entering the correct Wi-Fi network password. You can usually find this information on your router or in the documentation from your internet service provider.

Restore Network Settings:

  • You can try restoring the network settings on your printer to default. Here’s how:
    • On the printer's control panel, tap the Wireless icon.
    • Go to Settings, and then tap Restore Network Settings.
    • Confirm any prompts to restore the settings, and then try connecting to your network again.

Printer Password:

  • If a password was set on the printer’s settings and you can’t remember it, you might have to perform a factory reset, which will revert the printer back to its original settings. Keep in mind this will erase any saved information:
    • Turn on the printer and make sure it is idle.
    • Disconnect the power cord.
    • Press and hold the printer’s Power button and Cancel button for 10 seconds.
    • Release both buttons and reconnect the power cord.
    • Turn the printer back on.

Security Software:

  • If you are using security software or a firewall, make sure it’s not blocking access to the printer.

I hope this helps.
