Hello,

 

When I first configured my Deskjet 2700 all in one printer, I set a web interface admin password which is now forgotten.  How do I reset this password?  See the image below.

Unfortunately, for problem with passwords you will need to contact an HP agent.
Sign in to your support page
Select the product you need help with and scroll down to support options.
Select "Contact us". You can change country and language if necessary.

Here is HP's official policy regarding BIOS passwords:
HP Business PCs - Forgotten or lost BIOS password | HP® Support

According to the Community's Rules of Participation:

4d. No posts shall include instructions or directions intended to bypass or subvert security measures, including passwords, locking mechanisms, fingerprint scans, etc., or to bypass any safety measures.

For cases related to BitLocker issues, please contact Microsoft Support.


This includes reset advice on printers where the reset erases passwords. Check the User or Service manual of your system for reset instructions or ask Copilot.


If you are out of warranty, you might consider asking Microsoft's Copilot for advice. Be sure to identify your product, what the problem is, and ask for videos.
There is also smart friend but Copilot is not restricted on answering certain questions.

Which is fine except it's really hard to speak to an actual human being.  Support employees are hidden behind a wall of virtual assistant and redirection. Phone is not available leaving Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp   I've been waiting on WhatsApp for a response for what seems like a lifetime (over an hour now).  The options describe being able to "contact us anytime" but there is no guarantee of a response it seems.  This is awful support. Having a terrible time with it and getting really frustrated.
