@Lau35, Welcome to the HP Support Community – it’s great to have you here!

I appreciate you taking the time to share your question. I'm more than happy to assist with this and provide a solution that works for you.
The error code OP_404_LINS00001_XX typically indicates a firmware or software communication issue during the initial setup, especially when selecting a language. This can happen due to a temporary glitch, outdated firmware, or network-related restrictions.

Please try the following steps to resolve the issue:

Power Cycle the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  3. Wait for 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  5. Try the setup again.

Check Network Settings (if using Wi-Fi)

If you're setting up the printer over Wi-Fi, ensure your router does not have AP Isolation (Client Isolation) enabled. This setting can block communication between devices on the same network.

  • Log in to your router settings.
  • Navigate to Wireless > Advanced Settings.
  • Disable AP Isolation or Privacy Separator.
  • Save and reboot the router.

Reset the Printer

If the issue persists, try performing a factory reset:

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Press and hold Cancel + Wireless buttons simultaneously.
  3. While holding, turn the printer back on.
  4. Release the buttons when the printer starts initializing.

Use HP Smart for Setup

Download the latest setup utility:

These tools help bypass setup errors and ensure the latest firmware is installed.
