My husband was able to download the HP printer app to his Android phone for free but when I try to download it to my iPhone it keeps asking me to pay. Is there a trick to it or a different app for iPhone users?

The HP Smart app, which is the official app for managing HP printers, is free to download on both Android and iPhone devices. 

 

If you're being prompted to pay, it might be due to an optional in-app subscription or a third-party app that isn't the official HP Smart app.

 

Here’s how you can download the correct app for free on your iPhone:

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone.
  2. Search for HP Smart.
  3. Ensure the app is published by HP Inc. and has a high rating (it’s free to download).
  4. Tap Get to install the app.
