HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer has been working fine for about 4 years, but now the printer screen on my HP ENVY Photo 7155 will light up with a loading bar and some dots below it. But it freezes with all of the dots empty except 1 and the bar full. It's been like that for 3 whole days and you can't power cycle it. I have tried unplugging it, taking out the ink cartridges, turning off my wireless router. Also, the only way I can turn my printer off is to unplug it. The power button is not working either. While on my computer I found it still says that the printer is offline.  I had it unplugged over night and tried the troubleshooter, nothing works!  I believe the printer had completed an update just prior to it not working. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that your printer display is frozen, I am glad to assist you.

You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer to fix this issue.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

I hope this helps resolve this issue completely.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
