Hi @Ashmancash

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Try these steps -

1) Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent.
3) With the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.
3) Wait for 60 seconds.
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.
5) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

Then, try re-installing the firmware update using these steps -

1) Connect the printer and the computer using a USB cable. Download the firmware update utility file to your computer. Here's the firmware update link. Double click on the file.

2) Click the Update button.

3) Select the printer you want to update from the list.

4) Click the Update button in the dialog window. Follow the on-screen instructions to continue with the upgrade.

5) Do NOT power cycle the printer or the PC during this process or the printer may become unstable and/or unusable without further attention from HP. The firmware update can take several minutes to complete.

If the issue still persists, I have sent you a private message with the steps to perform a reset on the printer. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Let me know how that goes.

Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

Have a great day!
