After remaining on for a long time to avoid repeated shut downs daily, the printer will not turn off using on-off button in back, no will it print anything. This happens repeatedly. Pulling power cord, waiting a minute, and then reconnecting solves the problem temporarily. The recommendation is to update frimware, but this has already been done, and it is up to date. Why doesn't HP fix this bug?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Are you able to access the menu's when the printer is on?

Was there any kind of power surge? From when is this happening? Is the Printer connected directly to a wall socket?

Let us know 🙂

Thanks!

I have the same problem, it happens almost daily, today I started my printer in the morning, and one hour later it was already frozen. And to the smart HP people, no, I didn't have a power surge. The only way to restart is to pull the cord.
