Hi @Bengquist

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand how frustrating it feels when the setup process freezes, especially after changing Wi‑Fi networks.

You’ve already taken the right step by installing the new Wi‑Fi, so let’s carefully walk through how to clear the frozen “Return to Setup Website?” screen and get the printer back to normal.

Power reset

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cable from both the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the cable back in and power on.
This clears temporary states that can cause the frozen screen.

Reconnect to Wi‑Fi

  • On the printer’s control panel, press the Wireless button.
  • Navigate to Settings → Wireless Setup Wizard.
  • Select your new Wi‑Fi network and enter the password.
  • Confirm the connection by printing a Network Configuration Page.

Clear setup prompt

  • If the printer still shows “Return to Setup Website?”, press the Cancel or Back button on the control panel.
  • Navigate to Setup → Preferences → Web Services Setup.
  • Disable Web Services, then re‑enable them. This refreshes the setup link.

Use the HP App

  • On your Windows computer or mobile device, open the HP App.
  • Remove the frozen printer entry.
  • Select Add Printer and allow the app to detect the printer on the new Wi‑Fi.
  • Follow the guided setup to complete installation.

Update firmware

By performing a power reset, reconnecting to Wi‑Fi through the Wireless Setup Wizard, refreshing Web Services, and re‑adding the printer in the HP App, the frozen setup screen should clear and the printer will return to ready mode.
