3950 AIO j610a printer
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have never been able to keep the Full Feature Software installed for my Hp Deskjet AIO p6640f. Printer.  Model CH376a Win7 1tb.

Program downloads, goes to download folder, saved as a backup to document folder and installed.  When I return to the printer after a few hours or days, the FF software is gone. I have repeated this many times with the same resuslts. I'm stubborn but fallible.  I give up. Any suggestions

Generally, once installed, Full Feature Software does not spontaneously uninstall itself.  Smiling.

Something might be sneaking in and removing the program.  ??

If you have any security software on the system that is doing a "cleanup" and if that cleanup includes removing programs that the security software finds "suspect", then that might explain the constant / periodic removal of the printer software.

For example, several years ago I had a copy of CCleaner on one of my systems.  I used it for basic registry cleaning functions.  One day, I clicked into the cleanup feature and the dastardly program removed several of my installed software packages.  No biggie (easily recovered / reinstalled).  Did get my attention, though.

Check your security software settings (and logs, if provided).

Check the Event Viewer -- this tool is very useful if you can decipher the 'Viewer logs / contents.

Various help documents / articles -- read and choose whatever makes the most sense to you:
