Hello, I want to know if is still possible to get the Easy Scan application for Windows 7 to scan by USB cable with a Laserjet Pro M425dn MFP, as I have downloaded the full package but is not being installed and it fails saying it took too long to execute, but I can install the basic drivers normally, that only includes the printing driver but no scan software.

 

I have tried to look over the downloads section of the site but I don't see the application and I would like to know if by now is not available or where I could get the installer for this application.

Hi,

HP Easy Scan is a scanning application for Mac computers only, not for Windows PCs.

 

Please try installing and using the HP Scan Extended, open it form the Start menu and check if that work:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

 

If that doesn't help, also try accessing the Setup menu on your printer, then select Service and locate the HP Smart Install setting, disable HP Smart Install and restart the printer, then try reinstalling the HP Software and check if that may resolve the software installation problem.
