I have bought a new printer Deskjet 2810. How do I get rid of the entire installation of my former printer Deskjet 2620? I am afraid that they don´t like each other. HP Smart says that I have two printers , t.i. my old one and my new one although I have uninstalld the old one somewhere in WIN 11.

Thank you, Drogon-Fur, I just saw it. I went to HP Smart and right clicked on the printer that should disappear and selected "Hidei printer". Then I went to my HP account and deleted the printer there. It seems as if I succeeded.
For my previous printer, I had another printer software from HP that appealed to me much more than HP Smart. Do you possibly have access to this and can provide me with it?
Thanks and kind regards.

You are welcome - good news, then.
There are two printers in this model type:
HP DeskJet Printers
Where available, "e" designates an HP+ eligible printer --
For the purposes of this answer:
Printer software is the same for both printers
The full driver printer software (Full Feature Software) is available - this is likely what you are seeking.
Optionally, and supported on this printer -- add (install) the HP Universal Scan Software - nice "HP Scan" style app.
Details...
=======================================
Printer - Software
- Windows -
HP Full Feature Software / Full Driver printer software - supports printing and scanning from the web, printing in in other software and programs (for example, Word), and provides access to the full range of Printing Preferences / Shortcuts. The full driver adds at least two shortcuts to the Desktop: Printer Assistant and HP Scan. If the printer model includes built-in Fax hardware, the software supports the setup and use of the Fax driver. No Sign-in required.
Basics - Printer Software
Note: Skip part(s) that are not relevant to your situation.
Uninstall the full driver printer software from Programs and Features
Restart computer and Sign in
Next,
If using a printer USB cable between the printer and the computer, disconnect the cable before installing the printer software.
Install a new copy of the Full Feature Software
If using a printer USB cable between the printer and the computer, connect the cable when instructed (near the end of the installation).
Restart computer and Sign in

NOTE: Model and Operating System version Dependent
Note: HPUSS can be installed as standalone or installed after the full feature printer software.
HP Universal Scan Full Feature Software adds OCR libraries to installed HP Scan software.
HPUSS installs a new, full featured, (and separate) HP Scan software shortcut to the Desktop.

HI, Dragon-Fur and thanks! Some questionmarks:
1) "Uninstall the full driver printer software from Programs and Features Restart computer and Sign in"
I have these files marked HP
Which one do you mean? Which one is HP Smart? Sign in to what?
2) HP DeskJet 2800 series EasyStart Printer Setup Software - Offline Use Only
What means "Offline use only"?
3) "Next, Optionally install the HP Universal Scan Software"
Means optionally that it is a choise or necessary?

You are welcome.
1) HP Smart need not be uninstalled -- it can stay on the system or be uninstalled.
If you do wish to remove it, HP Smart is an application.
Find the app and uninstall it from its location in the Apps folder.
Windows 10 -- Settings > Apps > Apps and Features
Windows 11 -- Settings > Apps > Installed Apps
2) "Offline only" refers to having to Download and Save the package to your computer before installing the software.
3) Optional means "Your choice" -- HP Universal Scan works similarly to the original HP Scan software. HPUS includes extra features that might be useful.

After 2 days of experimentation I have now come to the end of the road and have HP Smart and
HP Scan in my computer.
1) I uninstalled HP Smart and (what I think) the full driver printer software from Win11's Installed apps.
2) Then I installed the HP DeskJet 2800 series EasyStart Printer Setup Software - Offline Use Only and had to use a USB cable as no wireless device could be found/installed. In return, I got the HP Smart back. I have not managed to discover any HP Easystart software so far..
3) Then I installed HP Universal Scan - Full Feature Software and Driver and now I have HP Scan back (which I originally asked for.) Thanks for that.
I think I've been around all the HP sites that had anything to do with the subject.
Thanks!

You are welcome.
It's rather odd -- the Full Feature Software will be listed in both Programs and Features and in Apps -- an actual application (like HP Smart) will only be listed in Apps and never in Programs and Features.
Why have software listed in Apps? I believe it has to do with Microsoft and their intent to continue moving things out of the Control Panel. As long as things work, we can adapt.
It sounds like you have what you need - at least to this point.
Happy scanning and printing.
