Product: Hp office jet pro 8600 plus
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Had the device plugged in and it has been working fine for the past year.  This morning it will not turn on at all. Checked the outlet to ensure it had power and it does. No light showing in the device when it is plugged in - will not turn on? Any idea what is the problem?

Some ideas...

Could have been a power drop that caused the printer to shut off in a weird way.

Could have been the opposite - too much power all at once might have fried the power supply.

Printer is old... Could be the power supply simply failed...

If the printer is connected to a surge protector, it may not be getting enough power to switch on the printer.
