google announced that is planning to remove the security option of enabling access to less secure apps by February 2021. That means the my HP officejet 8600 plus won't be able to send email or send scans to Google drive. Any plans to update the firmware to include OAuth2.0 which is required by Google.?

Hi,
Have you tried enabling 2-Step Verification verification and then create and use an App-Specific Password with the printer:

Try accessing your account with these credentials, for my experience, it should work and should not require less secure apps access (I did test it, but not sure if had the chance to test it with later models as the 8600 printer or not)
Hope that may help,
Shlomi
