HP Officejet 9015 printer
mac laptop
When I click on the Wireless icon, I can scroll down to the Restore Network Settings icon, but it is grayed-out. When I click on Restore Network Settings, the message I receive is "The feature has been locked by the person who set up the printer".
From the Home screen, when I click on Settings, and then click on Network Setup, one menu item is Wireless Settings. When I click on Wireless Settings, one menu item is Wireless Setup Wizard, which is grayed-out. When I click on Wireless Setup Wizard , the message I receive is "The feature has been locked by the person who set up the printer".
Is there another way to reset these settings? Thank you

Hi @Sophiac113,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the network settings on your HP Officejet 9015 printer are greyed out, it could indicate a couple of possible issues. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem.
- Restart the printer: Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Turn on the printer and check if the network settings are still greyed out.
- Reset the printer: Locate the Reset button on your printer (usually found at the back or side) and press and hold it for about 5 seconds. Release the button and wait for the printer to restart. After the restart, check if you can access the network settings.
- Check the printer's firmware: Make sure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Visit the official HP support website, search for your printer model (Officejet 9015), and look for firmware updates. If an update is available, follow the instructions provided by HP to install it.
- Reset network settings from the printer's control panel: Access the printer's control panel, navigate to the network settings, and look for an option to reset the network settings to default. If available, select the option and confirm the reset. This should remove any existing network configurations and allow you to set up the network again.
- Perform a network reset: If the previous steps didn't work, you can try resetting your network router. Unplug the power from your router, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Allow the router to restart completely, and then try accessing the network settings on the printer again.
- Factory reset the printer: This should be considered as a last resort, as it will erase all custom settings on the printer. To perform a factory reset, access the printer's control panel, navigate to the reset options, and select the factory reset option. Confirm the reset and wait for the printer to restart. After the reset, set up the printer again and check if the network settings are accessible.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
